What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Processor position at Foundation Laboratory?
We are seeking Laboratory Specimen Processors to join our team!
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (Full Time)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to receiving, identifying, assigning accession numbers, sorting, preparation and internal laboratory distribution of blood, urine, and other biological specimens.
- Ensure that the labels on the specimens coincide with the information provided .
- Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis.
- Prepare excess samples for storage or retesting.
- Ensure proper storage of specimens in the storage area.
- Report any issues that may have arisen during the preparation process.
- Handle container management in a time-efficient manner
- Maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a specimen processor or in other related fields is preferred.
- Reliable Attendance
- Familiarity with common medical terminology
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
