What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT1) position at Foundation Laboratory?
We are seeking to hire a Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our team!
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am-2pm
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Collect, process and store samples from patients
- Monitor storage and inventory of supplies
- Maintain a clean and healthy work environment
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Applicant must have a current, valid CPT1 License issued by California Department of Public Health
- Experience in geriatrics and pediatrics is preferred
- Previous experience in phlebotomy - minimum of 1 year is required
- Experience working as a phlebotomist in a laboratory is a plus
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Familiarity with medical software, equipment and terminology required
- Strong organizational skills
- Prior experience with insurance verification process a plus
