Job Description
The Commercial Lines Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing a diverse book of business. The AM role is essential as he/she develops and maintains the relationship with our clients and provides the first line of excellent customer service.
Duties include endorsements, answering underwriting requests, rounding out and up-selling accounts, renewing policies including surplus lines, renewal proposals, answering billing questions, audit disputes, and processing cancellations/reinstatements.
Requirements – Applicants Must:
- Have a valid Virginia Property & Casualty license and have at least 3 years of Commercial Account Management experience
- Be ethical, professional, intelligent, personable, highly motivated, energetic, and responsible
Possess the Following Skills:
- Bilingual SP/EN
- Critical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task
- Organization
- Have strong computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and management systems
Our Preferred Candidate Will Have:
- Knowledge of Applied/TAM
- Experience with Erie, Travelers, Donegal, Hanover, and The Hartford’s management and quoting system
- Designations such as CIC or CISR
