What are the responsibilities and job description for the CORPORATE BILLING SPECIALIST position at FOUNDATION HEALTH SERVICES GROUP?
Position Summary:
Seeks payment from Third Party Payer sources for past due and current accounts for all affiliated corporations. Assist the Director of Accounts Receivable in other accounts receivable related projects such as quarterly bad debt logs, collections, write offs, etc.
Duties:
- Determines why claims are not being paid
- Creates and submits monthly Third Party claims
- Researches and analyzes outstanding claims
- Contacts facilities as needed for documentation
- Files appeals as necessary
- Completes weekly report with dollar amounts of resubmissions
- All other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
Experience/Knowledge Requirements
- Strong data entry skills (alpha and numeric)
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong written and oral communication skills
