The Senior Decision Science Project Manager is responsible for managing the full life cycle of complex data science, AI, and advanced analytics projects. This role will oversee high-impact initiatives across credit risk, operations, customer insights, and emerging AI applications. In addition to driving delivery, the Senior Decision Science Project Manager will manage cross-functional data science projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure consistent adoption of best practices, governance, and project management discipline across the portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and manage enterprise-level data science projects and commitments across credit risk, AI/ML, automation, and business analytics, ensuring timely communication of project plans, budget adherence, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Serve as a senior project manager for credit-focused initiatives while also overseeing AI and non-credit projects that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.
- Mentor and act as a resource for Decision Science colleagues by providing feedback and training, fostering career development, technical skill growth, and strong project execution.
- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders across business, credit, finance, IT, and operations while developing a culture of innovation, accountability and cross-team collaboration.
- Oversee prioritization and execution of the full Decision Science project portfolio.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication on project progress, timeliness, findings, and business impacts to senior leadership, tailoring messaging for executive stakeholders.
- Ensure effective allocation and utilization of project resources (human, financial, technical).
- Proactively identify and communicate risks to project delivery and implement mitigation strategies.
- Champion best practices in data science project management, governance, and documentation to facilitate and drive continuous process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, business management, or similar relevant field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in data-driven environments and consumer lending/finance.
- knowledge of development software and design software.
- Experience using statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
