Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Schedule shipments with appropriate carriers to ensure delivery by scheduled deadlines.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and track shipments to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Receive orders and shipments, deliver shipments to appropriate departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities.
- Address and resolve shipment issues regarding tracking, package location, insurance/claim submission, return of packages.
- Assist in analyzing logistics data and help optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to logistics activities, such as shipping records, invoices, and reports.
- Document logistics-related issues and assist in proactively identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in business administration or related field and 2 years of experience in related field, preferably in shipping/receiving or logistics.
- Understanding of logistics principles, supply chain management, and inventory control.
- Proficient in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, or Atlassian preferred.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
