What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispute Analyst position at Foundation Finance Company Careers?
The Dispute Analyst handles incoming dispute claims and first payment defaults, investigating, and effectively processing in a timely manner in accordance with applicable network regulations. This role ensures service standards are met, provides support of department goals, and coordinates the reduction and control of losses.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Intake, perform analysis, and research to resolve dispute claims within required timeframes while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Professionally communicate with clients, internal partners, other financial institutions, merchants, etc. via phone, email, fax, or letter during the dispute process.
- Use sound judgment in addition to all available resources to make well-informed decisions when approving or denying a dispute.
- Research the validity of the dispute and the reasons behind it to best determine root causes.
- Assist in contacting past due customers to obtain payment or resolve issues in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with review of suspicious or questionable claims as needed.
- Work customer dispute emails as delegated.
- Monitor disputed transactions to more quickly and clearly identify risks.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in business, finance, communication, marketing or related field OR 1 years’ experience in related field.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Internet software.
