We are seeking a highly technical CTO with deep experience building Beacon-enabled platforms (BLE, proximity sensing, mobile-to-device interactions). This leader will architect our technology vision while remaining actively hands-on—writing production-level code, reviewing architecture, and guiding engineering execution. The ideal candidate comes from a strong software engineering background and has built mobile beacon systems from the ground up.
What You’ll Own
- Define and execute long-term technical strategy
- Architect BLE-driven infrastructure from devices to cloud
- Build and scale mobile backend systems
- Lead mobile engineering and integrations
- Deliver reliable, secure beacon-based interactions
- Establish coding standards, CI/CD, testing frameworks
- Mentor engineers and manage future technical hiring
Hands-On Responsibilities (40%)
- Write production code across mobile backend layers
- Build BLE device communication, protocols, and SDKs
- Develop APIs and integrations
- Oversee firmware workflows and OTA updates
- Resolve deep technical issues related to beacon performance
Leadership & Architecture (60%)
- Create the architecture and modernization roadmap
- Own system design, scalability, and security
- Select technologies and infrastructure
- Lead product decisions with business leadership
- Build technical documentation and standards
- Manage vendors, hardware partners, and future engineering hires
