Overview: Our recently converted FOUND Hotel, Series by Marriott is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 88 key-hotel, located in heart of Santa Monica. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to effectively lead a team. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, and maximizing revenue.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services
- Ensure that all guests receive exceptional customer service and have a positive experience during their stay
- Manage and train hotel staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations - Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and employees
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing occupancy rates and maximizing revenue
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing revenue reports, implementing cost control measures, and adjusting pricing strategies as needed
- Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hospitality management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with a focus on hospitality, customer service, and revenue management
- Proven track record in human resources management and leadership roles
- Fluent in English and bilingual in at least one other language
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and staff
- Experience in night audit procedures and ensuring operational efficiency
- Familiarity with front desk operations, guest relations, and multi-line phone systems, human resources
