Youth Engagement Specialist
Location: Levelland, TX
Fostering Life Youth Ranch – a residential treatment facility serving youth in foster care – is seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Engagement Specialists to join our team.

Our youth have experienced significant trauma and adversity, and many are in foster care. We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where youth can heal, grow, and develop essential life skills.
Position Summary:
As a Youth Engagement Specialist, you will serve as a primary caregiver and direct supervisor for the youth in our care. You will play a pivotal role in their daily lives, providing guidance, support, and structure while helping them navigate the challenges of trauma and foster care. You will help create a positive, encouraging, and trauma-informed environment that promotes emotional growth, accountability, and resilience.
Shift Options:
- 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise youth during daily routines, recreational activities, educational programming, and therapeutic sessions.
- Learn and implement trauma-informed care practices to support youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other adverse experiences.
- Provide structure, guidance, and positive behavioral support to help youth make healthy choices and develop life skills.
- Monitor and maintain the safety, well-being, and dignity of all youth in your care.
- Follow facility policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with team members, leadership, and external professionals to meet the individualized needs of youth.
- Document daily interactions, incidents, and progress in accordance with organizational requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in social work, psychology, education, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience working with children or youth, particularly those in foster care or with trauma histories, is highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain patience, empathy, and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening.
- Commitment to a trauma-informed, youth-centered approach.
