What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accounting Supervisor position at Foster Poultry Farms?
Pay Range $78,850-$98,570 per year
Purpose Of Position
This position is the point of contact between the operations management and accounting group. The candidate must possess an excellent ability to analyze data and find correlation between performance measurements and spending variances. This position will manage timely and accurate accounting controls for the purpose of generating, analyzing, and presenting management reports on performance in terms of yields, spending and labor efficiencies for the Belgravia Chicken Processing facility. Preparation of annual plant budget including plant performance standards and perform monthly MRO audits and annual plant audits. In addition to the above responsibilities, the candidate must coordinate the efforts of continuously verifying and updating all SAP Bill of Materials.
Job Functions
Prepare, review, approve daily and weekly meat yield and labor efficiency reports for the Belgravia Plant.
Prepare and present weekly P&L’s to management.
Research questions from management regarding weekly and period end variances. Prepare, review, and approve journal entries for period and year-end close.
Review and prepare AP accruals for Belgravia Chicken Plant.
Prepare/analyze/explain period end variances, comparative reports, and spending variances for Belgravia Plant.
Prepare, review, and assist plant management and R&D personnel with bill of materials.
Assist in preparing annual budgets.
Perform monthly MRO and annual plant audits.
Design and prepare AD-HOC reports for plant management when needed.
Develop, analyze, and provide plant management with appropriate analysis, which discovers and defines problems that can be acted upon by management to reduce costs, gain efficiency and redirect efforts.
Assist the Cherry Plant Accounting Team as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred
3 years’ accounting experience required, 5 years preferred
Must be self-motivating and resourceful and must possess strong leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills - SAP, Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
