Purpose Of The Position
General Labor Level II Team Members are responsible for building boxes, wrapping pallets, and transporting pallets of materials, ingredients, and finished goods between staging areas and production lines. Team Members are expected to follow all GMP, safety and quality standards while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. This position may require additional training, such as mobile equipment certification.
Essential Job Functions
- Stage required packaging materials and assemble boxes at an adequate speed to keep up with production; grab packed boxes from conveyor belts and pass them through the tape machine
- Stage empty pallets for palletizing; and palletize completed boxes onto pallets in specific configurations
- Troubleshoot and adjust tape machines and coders are needed
- Transfer pallets of ingredients, materials, trash, and other items between the production floor and staging areas as required
- Transport completed pallets to Blast freezer and RTE staging area as required
- Verify the LPN case counts match physical case counts for pallets before transfer to the warehouse
- Label master cases, confirm all labels are facing correctly, and scan them into LPN
- At the end of the shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties, and complete all required paperwork (e.g., packing traceability form)
- Scan master cases into LPNs as required
- Document cases per LPN and completion time on "Production Pallet Count Report"
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools required to perform task
- Must be able to perform all job functions safely
- Must meet the company standards and line speed requirements for the job
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be able to understand and follow all written SOPs
- Must be able to understand and comply with SDSs (Safety Data Sheets)
- Must be able to work the assigned schedule and required overtime for the position (including weekends)
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs.
- Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Must be able to obtain mobile certification.
- Reading and writing in English, may be required.
