Landscape Designer – Miami
Foster Partners is one of the world’s leading architecture and design studios, with over 2,500 people worldwide. Renowned for our innovation, collaboration and global impact, we’re expanding our Landscape Architecture team in Miami to help shape resilient, sustainable and inspiring outdoor environments across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Landscape Designer to join a multidisciplinary studio working at the forefront of design. You’ll contribute to diverse landscape and public realm projects, supporting the development of concept designs through to detailed technical documentation. Working in a fast-paced, creative environment, you will help bring landscapes to life that enrich communities and respond intelligently to Miami’s unique climate and context.
You’ll collaborate closely with architects, urban designers, engineers and environmental specialists across our global network, delivering coordinated and forward-thinking design solutions that reflect our values and design ambition.
What you’ll do:
- Support concept design development, preparing diagrams, drawings, visualisations and presentations.
- Produce detailed technical drawings, planting plans, material specifications and construction documentation.
- Conduct site research and analysis, including environmental, ecological and contextual assessments.
- Contribute to coordinated design workflows with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Assist in preparing reports, design narratives, proposals and submission packages.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews and internal workshops.
- Help ensure design quality and project deliverables are met across all stages.
Who you are:
- A landscape designer with proven experience working on landscape or public realm projects.
- Strong conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling visuals and technical outputs.
- Proficient in design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Revit or similar software.
- Knowledgeable about planting design, materials, sustainable strategies and construction processes.
- Organised, proactive and collaborative, able to work across multiple project stages and deadlines.
- Passionate about creating meaningful environments that enhance wellbeing, ecology and community.
