Position Overview
The Vice President of Tax will lead the company’s global treasury, tax, liquidity, capital-planning, and financial-risk management functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this executive will support the company’s growth, technology development, capital projects, and commercialization strategy.
The ideal candidate combines deep treasury and tax expertise with experience in a rapidly growing, capital-intensive organization. Background in energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, engineering, technology, or another regulated industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead domestic and international tax strategy, planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Oversee federal, state, local, and international tax filings.
- Manage tax provisions, disclosures, deferred taxes, and financial-statement support.
- Advise on financing, legal-entity structures, investments, partnerships, and international expansion.
- Identify and manage energy, research and development, investment, and other available tax incentives.
- Oversee transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and cross-border matters.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, legal counsel, and tax authorities.
- Monitor tax risks, audits, exposures, and regulatory developments.
- Build scalable tax processes and controls to support growth.
Qualifications
- Experience in energy, infrastructure, nuclear technology, advanced manufacturing, engineering, or another regulated industry required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, MBA, or similar professional qualification strongly preferred.
- 12–15 years of progressive corporate tax experience.
- Leadership experience within a complex, capital-intensive, multinational, or rapidly growing organization.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax, tax accounting, transfer pricing, and legal-entity structuring.
- Experience supporting major capital projects, project financing, international expansion, or pre-commercial businesses preferred.
- Strong executive communication, analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining engaged in execution.
- High degree of integrity, judgment, accountability, and discretion.
Salary : $250,000 - $350,000
