Senior Manager of Corporate Tax
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Corporate Tax to oversee the federal and state corporate tax function for our U.S. and Canadian operations. This is a non-preparer role focused on managing tax provision, supporting schedules, compliance oversight, and controversy matters.
The Director will work closely with external advisors and internal finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient tax processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the U.S. federal and state corporate tax function, including tax provision and supporting schedules.
- Oversee and review the quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
- Provide strategic tax planning and risk assessment for ongoing business operations.
- Liaise with finance, legal, and treasury teams to ensure alignment of tax strategies.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on corporate tax position.
- Prepare documentation to support tax positions and provision assumptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred.
- 10 years of corporate tax experience, with strong background in U.S. federal and state taxation.
- Proven experience managing tax provision (ASC 740) and working with external advisors.
- Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and excise tax is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site, NJ 3 days per week.
