Inventory Control Specialist
Foster Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory processes—from receiving and storage to shipping. Key Responsibilities
Uphold and model Company Core Values in all daily activities.
Partner closely with management to support and execute inventory-related projects.
Monitor inventory levels and promptly identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify accuracy.
Support the development and enforcement of inventory control procedures and best practices.
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date inventory records and documentation.
Identify and report damaged or missing items; record findings in the WMS and communicate issues to management.
Oversee all aspects of damaged product management, including documentation and reporting.
Verify inbound and outbound orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage customer-specific inventory processes and projects—ensuring all requirements, guidelines, and reporting obligations are met.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies regarding the handling and storage of materials.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment through consistent housekeeping practices.
- Communicates and reports information to the customer as needed.
- Carries out Warehouse Associate responsibilities as well as quality functions as well.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or a related role.
Minimum 2 years of forklift operation experience.
Prior experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be able to create and deliver accurate reports).
Familiarity with Outlook or similar email systems; ability to compose professional messages.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
Work may include exposure to warehouse and production environments.
