Job Description
Foster Garvey is seeking a Tax Associate with 3 or more years of relevant experience to join its Tax and Benefits Group in Portland or Seattle. The associate will work on significant projects with a successful team and will have access to a full-service, bi-coastal platform to attract and grow a book of business. They will also provide day-to-day counseling to the Firm’s existing clients on state and federal income tax matters, including structuring sophisticated transactions in various industry sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collegial office environment while working with practitioners on matters at a national level.

Salary Range
The annualized salary range for this position is $175,000 to $235,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law;
- LL.M. in Tax;
- 3 or more years of income tax experience;
- Law firm experience required;
- Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills;
- A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills;
- Enthusiasm to work with and build a diverse team;
- The ability to manage significant individual responsibilities.
