Foster Garvey PC, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading law firms, is looking for a Senior Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal with 5 years of experience to join our team in our Seattle office. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to make well-reasoned, effective decisions.Responsibilities:Develop case fact background, including interviewing and communicating with witnesses, and gathering evidenceDraft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responsesOrganize and maintain case files, exhibits, and document productions in physical and electronic formatsCoordinate and manage discovery processes, including document review, privilege logs, productions, and plan for and execute e-discovery strategiesPrepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness files, and courtroom presentationsSchedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances; coordinate with opposing counsel and court personnelManage outside discovery vendorsCase and project management, including motions, trial preparation and mediation issuesPrepare prosecution documents and reporting correspondence to clientsCommunicate with clients throughout initial filing, office actions, publication, allowance, issuance and renewalAssist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case inception through trial and appealPrepare litigation budgets and portfoliosPrepare Motions and Appeal BriefsHandle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, and observe employee and attorney-client confidentialityOther duties or projects as assigned.Working conditions:This is a full-time role with core business hours of 8:30 am – 5:00 pm but may require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during peak periods. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days in the office.
