Main Responsibilities as a Supervisor:
Teaching Swim Lessons
- Actively demonstrate swimming and teaching skills by conducting a minimum of 6 hours of in-water swim classes for various ages of students.
- Support hourly employees during assigned shifts (in and out of the water) for a minimum of 16 hours per week.
- Provide leadership coaching and curriculum training to new Swim Teachers
- Build trusted and effective relationships to advance an organizational culture that lives the FOSS purpose and values.
- Supervise team members during assigned shifts for performance and curriculum delivery.
- Support managers in achieving set goals, KPIs, and customer and team member retention.
- Be a FOSS Brand Ambassador by being positive and respectable influencer.
- Build relationships with customers to create loyalty and excitement for the FOSS brand, purpose, programming, and community.
- Uphold facility cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Part-time (29 hours per week)
- Afternoons/Evenings and weekends
- Start times can vary depending on school needs
- Typical weekday 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Typical weekend 7:30am - 2:00pm or 2:00pm - 8:00pm
- Must be able to swim and work within a water environment.
- At least one (1) year of employment with FOSS preferred, not required.
- Availability to work afternoons/evenings and weekends.
- Must obtain American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment, be required to adhere to American Red Cross standards outlined in the certification requirements and maintain an active certificate throughout tenure in the role. Please note that FOSS will pay the costs for both the initial and renewal certifications.
- Experience in retail, health and fitness, restaurant, or other related experience preferred.
- Ability to participate in organizational, employee or community engagement events as necessary
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information, possess a high degree of personal integrity and sound judgment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in water and demonstrate the physical movements necessary to teach the FOSS Swim Path curriculum.
- Work in an indoor pool facility that will be warm and humid with water temperatures up to 91 degrees.
- Ability to work in areas exposed to noise, chemicals, and industrial equipment and supplies.
- Speak with others, including children, using clear, professional, and age-appropriate language.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 15 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Review documents, computer monitors or displays with potentially small print.
- Operate a computer, handheld device such as an iPad, phone and other common office tools or controls.
- Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement.
