What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scale Operator/Laborer (Wilmington, NC) position at Foss Recycling Inc?
- Assist the Location/Scale Manager in ensuring correct weights, materials description and grade for all inbound and outbound loads.
- To work under the direction of the Location/Scale Manager in processing, sorting, grading, and baling/boxing of all materials.
- Be able to operate the ferrous and nonferrous scales. All scale tickets must be verified and contain correct information in regards to customer, material, weights (including gross and tare when applicable), and pictures. No manual inputs.
Requirements:
- Preferred: A High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred two (2) years in scrap metal recycling environment.
- Must have the skills and ability to identify various metals. Metals must be sorted and unloaded in accordance with Company Policy. Must perform hands-on work using equipment to move the heavier metals.
- Must be able to pass a drug test & background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
