POSITION SUMMARY
This entry—level position is responsible for effectively maintaining the flow of the warehouse activities to maintain inventories and logistics to support on-site and field operations personnel to assure that materials and supplies are available to meet the requirements of the work crews and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following is an outline of the basic duties and responsibilities of the above-titled position. Individual(s) in this position may from time-to-time be assigned other duties as appropriate.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Perform data input to log in and out materials and equipment.
- Maintain visual appearance of materials and equipment.
- Stock job boxes and replenish them when they are returned.
- Fill parts orders from job sites when requested.
- Aid in keeping inventory stock levels at minimum amounts.
- Perform and assist with inventory and cycle counts.
- Observe good housekeeping and safety habits, follow Fosbel policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
- Proficient in basic math.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Previous warehouse experience helpful.
- Self starter, able to work with minimal management input.
- Must maintain current powered industrial material handling equipment certification.
- Working knowledge of basic computer input tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate (or GED) with strong mechanical aptitude and assembly experience preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain certification to operate powered material handling equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS (ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS)
- Primarily works in distribution warehouse environment with constant walking.
- Exposure to dust.
- Loads and unloads materials ranging from 20 to 300 pounds, using powered industrial equipment when appropriate.
- Must be able to operate powered material handling equipment.
- Exposure to weather when unloading and loading trucks.
