NOW HIRING: CHEER INSTRUCTORS
FORXA Inc. is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Cheer Instructors / Competitive Cheer Coaches to lead after-school cheer programs for students in grades 1–6 in partnership with the Alisal Union School District.
We are looking for energetic, reliable, positive, and team-oriented coaches who can teach foundational and progressive cheerleading skills, develop team confidence, and create a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for youth athletes.
What We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Cheer motions, jumps, and basic tumbling progressions
- Beginner stunt technique, safety positions, and spotting
- Choreography and routine cleaning
- Parade-friendly and performance-ready routines
- Strength building and conditioning for young athletes
- Team bonding and confidence development
- Sideline cheer, crowd leadership, and spirit execution
- Working with elementary-aged students in a positive mentorship role
- Ability to collaborate with other site coaches so all locations operate as one team, one dream
Position Details
- Part-time: 10–20 hours per week
- Shift options: 2:45 PM–5:45 PM or 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Location: Salinas, CA
- Occasional weekend work is required for referrals, performances, parades, showcases, or special events
- Coaches may be assigned to collaborate across multiple school sites for joint performances and routine development
Required Qualifications
- Previous cheer coaching, dance, gymnastics, or youth sports instruction experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate professionally with fellow coaches, school staff, and leadership
- Must be dependable, punctual, and positive
- Ability to motivate athletes of varying skill levels
- Comfortable teaching in a structured after-school setting
- Must successfully pass fingerprinting, TB clearance if required, and a full background check prior to working with students
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
