Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and
driver vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols - Load and unload packages using heavy lifting techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed to ensure secure transport
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and timely deliveries
- Interact professionally with customers during drop-offs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to supervisors
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Proven delivery driver experience with route driving familiarity
- Ability to operate box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, forklifts, and pallet jacks when necessary
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform moving tasks efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Warehouse experience is a plus for handling loading/unloading tasks effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation
