What You'll Do
- Set up and remove lane closures, road closures, and other traffic control devices.
- Load, unload, and transport traffic control equipment and materials.
- Install and remove temporary and permanent pavement markings.
- Install and maintain arrow boards, portable changeable message signs (PCMS), barricades, drums, signs, and crash cushions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on traffic control equipment.
- Assist with shop organization, equipment preparation, and inventory.
- Read maps and traffic control plans to ensure proper work zone setup.
- Work safely around live traffic while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (FEDMED).
- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, overtime, and travel as needed.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
