Job Description
Out client has an onsite contract role for a Sr. DevOps Engineer in the DFW area! There is a possibility of conversion to FTE.

Responsibilities
- Architecture & Instrumentation: Design and scale high-performance monitoring ecosystems using New Relic, focusing on deep-stack visibility through APM, logs, and custom NRQL telemetry.
- Observability as Code: Standardize monitoring by deploying alerts, synthetic checks, and dashboards through automated IaC workflows like Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Operational Excellence: Serve as a subject matter expert to institutionalize best practices in tracing and metrics, directly reducing MTTR and boosting system reliability.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively analyze telemetry data to resolve complex production bottlenecks and refine real-time health dashboards for cloud-native infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Deep Technical Tenure: At least 7 years in Cloud Engineering or SRE roles, complemented by a degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on expertise.
- Platform Mastery: Minimum 3 years of advanced experience with the New Relic suite, including expert-level NRQL querying and complex alerting strategy.
- Automation & Cloud Fluency: Proven track record in AWS-centric environments using scripting (Python/Go) and IaC tools to manage large-scale cloud configurations.
- Systems & Security Domain: Strong grasp of Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines within highly regulated environments, ensuring all solutions meet strict security standards.
