WHAT DO WE DO?
Forward Logistics is an intrastate and interstate motor carrier specializing in Loose Cargo Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Full Trailer Load (FTL), oversized cargo, and special project cargo delivery. In human words, we move cargo from point A to point B on the road with a truck.
ARE YOU ONE OF US?
This position belongs to the Operations Team and reports to the Operations Manager. The Logistics Clerk will be responsible for coordinating logistics activity and providing customer support on freight movement. This is a part-time position to cover Fridays thru Mondays.
Requirements:
- Check emails and enter order info/ accept EDI info, and scan documents into internal system and customer systems.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Communicate with customers and dispatchers to pass along information promptly.
- Track shipment availability and delivery status.
- Effectively solve problems, escalations, and provide customer support.
- Update internal system, reference spreadsheets, and customer systems.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in trucking / transportation field.
- Excellent crisis management skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills and professional e-mail etiquette.
- Effective oral and written communication skill.
- High school graduate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese/ Mandarin) a plus.
