Forward Logistics is an intrastate and interstate motor carrier specializing in Loose Cargo Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Full Trailer Load (FTL), oversized cargo, and special project cargo delivery. In human words, we move cargo from point A to point B on the road with a truck.

The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily delivery arrangements, fleet performance, and operational efficiency. This position helps ensure that transportation activities, staffing, and customer service meet company standards and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Assist in coordinating delivery arrangements and transportation routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Support in maintaining fleet equipment compliance and tracking preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and help resolve operational discrepancies or customer issues escalated from team leads or dispatchers.
- Supervise daily team activities under the direction of the Operations Manager, ensuring goals and KPIs are met.
- Participate in training, coaching, and performance feedback for operations staff.
- Support in handling disciplinary actions and follow-up documentation as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Safety, Compliance, Warehouse, Accounting) to resolve interdepartmental issues.
- Step in to cover dispatch, scheduling, or driver coordination tasks during absences or peak workload.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in managing trucking/warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of warehouse/trucking equipment.
- Experience with Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems.
- Availability to travel for company meetings and training if needed.
- Team leadership and project management experience.
- Excellent talent management, team building, and crisis management skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills and professional e-mail etiquette.
- Availability to work extended hours as needed by customer/shipment.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) is a plus.
