Job Summary

The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and foster meaningful relationships.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide support in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication management, and household chores.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote inclusion and community involvement.
- Observe and document client behavior and progress while maintaining confidentiality.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall well-being.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or dementia is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
