Role Description
The Founding Instructional Staff will play a key role in building the foundation of academic excellence at FORWARD Girls Leadership Academy. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities include designing and delivering differentiated and rigorous instruction, creating an inclusive classroom culture, planning and assessing innovative curricula, and collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects. Additionally, the role involves mentoring students, providing academic and social guidance, and fostering leadership skills to prepare students for impactful futures.
Qualifications
- Expertise in curriculum design, lesson planning, and instructional delivery
- Experience with differentiated instruction and effective classroom management strategies
- Strong mentoring, rapport-building, and student engagement skills
- Passion for empowering young women and promoting equity in education
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Teaching license or certification is highly preferred
- Experience working in urban education settings or with diverse student populations is a plus
