Position: Material Handler
The Material Handler Handler responsible for processing, verifying, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management software. Key duties include loading and unloading freight, conducting cycle counts, labeling shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety and reporting procedures.

Throughout the years we have added supplementary lines to our linehaul service, such as full truckload operations (Truckload Services), final-mile coverage (Complete® Cartage), and an Airline Logistics program, and we will continue to expand our services to meet the changing needs and growth of our customer base.

Direct partnerships with owner-operators and other surface transportation providers, enable us to remain cost-competitive. The Forward Air network is designed with over 90 facilities located at or near major U.S. and Canadian airports, 12 regional sort centers and over 300 beyond points (secondary airports provided through our Complete Cartage service), creating one of the most comprehensive linehaul networks in the industry.

Position: Material Handler
The Material Handler Handler responsible for processing, verifying, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management software. Key duties include loading and unloading freight, conducting cycle counts, labeling shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety and reporting procedures.
Core Responsibilities & Duties
- Process all aspects of materials using warehouse inventory software
- Label and ship orders according to established procedures for each customer
- Accurately pick and weigh all shipments
- Inspect freight and follow appropriate reporting procedures
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts
- Rotate and re-stock shelves according to inventory procedures
- Verify all inbound and outbound materials
- Provide prompt and accurate customer service
- Arrange and maintain filing and recording systems
- Document monthly activities for period end reporting
- Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallet jacks and forklifts
- Shrink wrap freight pallets
- Maintain a clean and save working environment
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience of general warehouse knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Warehouse Oracle Database Experience is a plus
- Must be able to frequently manuver up to 450 pouds
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and manager
