What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consulting - Healthcare Performance Improvement - Senior Consultant - Healthcare position at FORVIS?
This position in our growing physician enterprise practice offers an excellent opportunity for candidates who are interested in a consulting career focused on advising physician enterprise decision-makers with compensation design, complex transactions and arrangements, operational performance improvement, governance and compliance, and other problem-solving and needs fulfillment matters.
How you will contribute:
- Contribute to or lead the creation of project-related provisions such as project plans, implementation plans, communication plans, and financial models, and creating and delivering presentations
- Interfacing with all levels of management, both internally and at client sites
- Assist in the completion of data acquisition, validation, benchmarking, and analytical work for a wide variety of purposes, such as operational consulting, compensation compliance and design, and transactions
- Using industry knowledge, benchmarking, and facts and circumstances discovery, recommend and assist in the documentation and completion of data normalizations
- Completing various operational and financial analyses as related to employed physicians and independent group practices
- Develop gap, scenario and 'current state/future state' analyses related to providing best fit solutions for physician compensation and alignment arrangements
- Developing and assisting with the delivery of reports and presentations
- Assisting with solution implementations

- Though not required, other specialized skills, knowledge, and experience will be considered valuable, such as in the areas of academic medicine, children's hospitals, cancer care, business valuation, due diligence, physician needs, physician recruiting, RHC/FQHCs, trauma programs, billing and coding, bundled payment and other value-based reimbursement programs, revenue cycle, EMR utilization, and similar.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or other related degree
- 2 years or more of healthcare consulting, healthcare accounting or healthcare operations experience
- Strong working knowledge of two or more of the following:
- Breadth of hospital-physician services arrangements,
- Provider employment arrangements and the various pay types and pay methodologies
- Clinic operations
- Fair Market Value for provider services arrangements
- Physician reimbursement mechanisms and methodologies,
- Regulatory environment (such as the Physician Self-Referral Law)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)
