Our client, a growing global food ingredient provider, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join the team in Naperville, IL. This role will take ownership of purchasing, inventory planning, and global logistics coordination as they scale. This role is critical in moving from a lean, manual environment to a more structured, data-driven operation. This position provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership across international sourcing and purchasing, import/export operations, customs compliance, domestic transportation, 3PL management, inventory management, warehousing, and customer distribution logistics.
You’ll connect demand signals with supply execution—managing global sourcing, tracking inbound shipments, and ensuring inventory flows efficiently from supplier to warehouse to customer.
Responsibilities
- Own forecasting, purchasing, and replenishment planning based on sales trends and pipeline
- Manage international procurement and inbound logistics, including shipment tracking and coordination
- Oversee inventory levels and accuracy across a 3PL warehouse
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with warehouse partners and carriers
- Handle key documentation (COAs, COLs, shipment records) and ensure operational accuracy
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams to align supply chain strategy with customer demand, growth objectives, and operational capabilities.
- Introduce best practices, reporting, and process improvements
- Support ERP implementation (NetSuite a plus) and transition from manual to scalable systems
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10 years in supply chain, procurement, or inventory planning
- Strong experience in forecasting, purchasing, and inventory control
- Exposure to international logistics/imports
- Experience working with 3PLs and warehouse networks
- ERP familiarity (NetSuite preferred) and prior experience being part of implementation
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
- Comfortable working with global partners remotely
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic global market with fluctuating freight costs, supply disruptions, and changing regulatory requirements.
