Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Forvis Mazars, LLP, is seeking an Analyst to join the investment banking team. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience across all phases of sell-side, buy-side and capital-raising transactions, expand your knowledge and build collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. Further, you will have meaningful support from firm leadership for substantial professional development.

What You Will Do

• Conduct company, industry, market, and competitor research to support client engagements, transaction positioning, and strategic recommendations
  
  
• Analyze historical and projected financial performance, operating trends, cash flows, and key business drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and potential transaction considerations
  
  
• Build, maintain, and review integrated financial models to evaluate transaction scenarios, purchase price considerations, and debt and equity financing alternatives
  
  
• Perform valuation analyses using methodologies such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout analysis
  
  
• Support day-to-day execution of sell-side, buy-side, and capital-raising engagements from initial preparation through closing
  
  
• Coordinate due diligence workstreams, virtual data rooms, information requests, Q&A processes, and the flow of information among clients and transaction parties
  
  
• Prepare and refine client-facing materials, including pitch books, proposals, teasers, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materials
  
  
• Develop and evaluate potential buyer, investor, and acquisition target lists using strategic, financial, and industry criteria
  
  
• Participate in client calls, management meetings, presentations, and transaction discussions; prepare analyses and materials that address client and senior banker questions
  
  
• Coordinate with internal specialists and external legal, accounting, tax, financing, and other advisors to help advance transaction workstreams
  
  
• Assist with evaluating transaction structures, financing alternatives, key terms, and strategic considerations
  
  
• Manage assigned workstreams, timelines, and deliverables across multiple engagements, proactively communicating status, issues, and next steps
  
  
• Contribute to business development through company and industry screening, market updates, prospective client materials, and tailored pitch preparation
  
  
• Monitor relevant market activity, industry trends, valuation benchmarks, and capital markets developments to inform client advice and transaction strategy
  
  
• Identify opportunities to improve analytical tools, transaction processes, and internal resources while pursuing development through engagement execution, special assignments, and training
  
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Liberal Arts degree with strong quantitative ability
  
  
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting related positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation
  
  
• Series 79 & 63 or willingness to pursue
  
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  
  
• Strong writing and financial modeling skills
  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  
• A commitment to high-quality work with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  
  
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities
  
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA with relevant concentration preferred
  
  
• Two (2) years or more of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation
  
  
• Prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ
  
  
• Series 79 and Series 63 licenses

Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085)

Pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range displayed is for the Colorado market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
