CONTROLLER – Boone NC (fully in office)
We have been retained to fill a Controller position for a well-respected organization that’s based in Boone NC. This is a hands-on role leading a small team in an entrepreneurial environment. The Controller will work in office, supervise 1-2 staff and execute all accounting functions, budgeting and expense monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, including account assignments, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process month-end close and financials / reporting for ownership
- Oversee maintenance of fixed asset schedule and process sales, use and property tax filings
- Provide financial insights to management for informed decision-making and long-term financial stability and growth
- Manage manufacturing and distribution related job cost reports and oversee property-level financials for various real estate holdings
- Assist CPA firm in providing information required to prepare the federal and state income tax returns, and quarterly estimated tax payments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-10 years of related experience
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems: Sage 50, QuickBooks, Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, risk management and communication
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
