What are the responsibilities and job description for the Statutory Accountant position at Forvis Mazars, LLP?
We are looking for an experienced statutory accountant for our prestigious insurance client on a project basis. This role is fully remote and is expected to conclude at the end March 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements (yellow book)
- Assist and support GAAP reporting
- Prepare assigned financial statements, related footnotes and journal entries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 5 years of relevant Statutory Accounting experience within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry
- Experience with Sovos Wings system preferred
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
