Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Prototype Program Manufacturing Leader is responsible for ensuring that prototype orders are submitted, processed and completed according to customer requirements and expectations and in accordance with Faurecia prototype processes and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage prototype interface with PDL’s and customer.
  • Assist in bringing together all necessary information required to execute an order within prototype system.
  • Ensure that prototype design reviews are scheduled and executed where required and provide oversight to ensure that orders are submitted within required lead time.
  • Work directly with scheduling to identify/resolve any issues that may impact shipping product to meet customer MRD.
  • Review feasibility of the design, considering available prototype and serial production processes.
  • Collaborate with the tooling engineer to proper make-or-buy decisions for prototype components.
  • Anticipate customer needs and requirements and ensure that they are reflected in the production schedule and prototype forecast.
  • Manage project schedules/timelines to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and standardize processes and procedures for the transfer of information from customer to Prototype to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide feedback to customer/program team on: production feasibility, lead time constraints, commonized components, material, etc.
  • Track orders through the prototype process and advise management on issues that will affect delivery dates.
  • Implement and maintain FES within Prototype Team.
  • Maintain KPI’s for delivery performance and order submission lead time.
  • Maintain strong familiarity with specific customers and their requirements.
  • Complete all assignments following prescribed schedules.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or Associates Degree in Engineering and equivalent experience.
  • Experience in design & development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Knowledge and experience in the project management process
  • Good knowledge of program standards, tools and methods
  • Familiar with primary manufacturing methods
  • Strong product knowledge in exhaust assembly
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • English required
