What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Fitness Instructor position at Forum?
Forum is accepting resumes for the position of Group Fitness Instructor. Our fitness team provides a personalized approach to fitness and wellness, ranging from group fitness classes to individual training. We are seeking candidates who have a background teaching group fitness classes including strength-focused classes, HIIT, and boot camp style classes. The right candidate will have a passion for connecting with people, the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment, and have positive and motivational approach to coaching.

What you will do:
- Deliver first-class service to our members/clients
- Actively recruit new community members to join classes
- Support team members and managers with premium guest services
- Maintain a service-oriented environment within the group exercise class, through the personal recognition of our members
- Teach class sizes ranging from 5 to 15 members/clients
- Educate members concerning proper exercise techniques and constantly monitor safety to avoid injuries
- Provide members with the safest and most effective environment in helping them achieve their fitness goals
- Encourage member/guest retention by encouraging re-booking of classes
- Complete all class administrative work as required during fitness classes
- Keep fitness equipment in good working condition and restock supplies as needed
- Answer any questions club/athletics information as needed and as appropriate
- Keep up with current trends in the fitness industry
- Keep members upbeat and enthusiastic during class
Who we are looking for:
Education and Experience
- Experience of actively leading successful HIIT, interval classes, and group strength exercise classes
- Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science preferred
- A friendly personality able to foster relationships with Members and your team.
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Certified Group Fitness Instructor (i.e. ACSM, ACE, NASM)

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move, carry and lift equipment up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to bend and reach to high and low levels
- Must demonstrate physical endurance for up to 60 minutes at a time of continuous cardiovascular movement
Availability
- Part time position
- 5 and 6AM M-F availability
- 5 and 6PM M-F availability
