What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Specialist position at Forum Energy Technologies?
Summary:
The Product Specialist monitors the profitability and continued growth of the product. Expert about the specific product, strategically plan production, and interacts with many organizational departments and customers. May work with design engineering team, reviews product design, suggests enhancements and oversees the deployment of product and design through production and shipment. Coordinates inventory and consumable needs for product inspection, teardown, and rebuild for repair work.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Teardown and inspection process and procedures
- Quoting labor, inventory, and consumables needed for customer orders
- Tracking of service work documentation throughout from customer order through shipment
- Oversee the overall quality of production from customer order to delivery
- Coordinates with Supply Chain on best vendor quality and costing to maintain good margins
- Additional task as assigned
Skills/Knowledge
- Must have expertise related to product support.
- Must be able to communicate well inside and outside company at all levels.
- Must be able to support product through life cycle
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Engineering or Marketing; or equivalent experience
