Assembler I - 2nd shift

Summary:

Responsible for the preparation, assembly, repair and testing support of fabricated  equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, and skidded process packages in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, ASME quality requirements, and company standards. This position supports production operations through safe work practices, quality workmanship, material handling, shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining an organized work environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Comply and participate in the company Health and Safety program.

• Prepare, assemble, and repair fabricated products, pressure vessels, piping systems, and related oilfield or process equipment.
• Assemble multiple components into complete skidded packages and fabricated assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Install threaded and non-threaded piping, valves, fittings, and instrumentation components on skidded equipment and vessels.
• Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, fit, align, and assemble components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Utilize pipe wrenches, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and other production equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform equipment identification, stamping, tagging, and labeling in accordance with company and customer requirements.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, inspection, packaging, and movement of materials and finished products.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required to support production and shipping operations.
• Verify materials and components are properly identified and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and applicable industry requirements.
• Assist with testing, final inspections, packaging, and shipment preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through daily housekeeping activities.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, engineering, and warehouse personnel to meet production goals and customer requirements.

Skills/Knowledge

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and basic blueprints.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure and performing basic measurements and calculations.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, construction, oilfield equipment, or a related industrial environment preferred.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, piping installation, or fabrication processes preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred.

This is a safety-sensitive position.
