What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Inspector I position at Forum Energy Services, Inc.?
Summary:
Performs specialized product testing. May operate specialized inspection equipment. Performs basic dimensional inspection to specification. Works under direct supervision. Basic/repetitive tasks. Other duties as assigned. Rotating day and night shifts required. Production is scheduled Mon.-Thurs. Fri. and Sat. are scheduled as needed based on production demand.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Performing in-process and final inspection and testing of API 5ST and 5LCP products and welded strip and tubing.
- Proficient use of Measuring and Testing Equipment /Software and ability to perform calibrations on equipment.
- Non-destructive and destructive testing
- Follow shop routers/work order to schedule sequence inspection/testing operations.
- Document Receiving, In-process and Final Inspections.
- File and maintain all Quality Control records.
- Perform essential duties following the Quality Management System.
- Report and document nonconformance or potential problems relating to the quality of product and/or the QMS.
- Perform work in a professional and safe manner.
- Report unsafe work practices.
- Maintain housekeeping in all work areas.
Skills/Knowledge
- Some knowledge in dimensional testing and manufacturing.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 1 years of related experience.
