What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator II position at Forum Communications Company?
With locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, Forum Communications Printing addresses commercial printing and mailing needs with our high-quality print and mail solutions. Services include magazine, catalog, book, and tradeshow printing, brochures, direct mailers, postcards, variable data printing, statements, glossy inserts, annual reports, fulfillment, first class mail pick-up, and print & digital publications.
SUMMARY
Operate mailroom equipment from setup to shutdown to prepare and produce printed mail materials for worldwide distribution via USPS and other shipping methods, while fostering a teamwork environment. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7am - 330pm. Overtime is available, and voluntary when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operate Videojet and Hawk Inkjet systems and polybag machines for addressing of printed materials
Operate tabbing and folding machines, and strapping and pallet wrapping machines
Load various feed stations, place/stack bundled mail on pallets, and operate electric and manual floor jacks to move pallets and cages of materials
Direct and/or assist in staging of mailroom equipment before production runs
Housekeeping duties
Abide by all OSHA regulations as well as other established company safety policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior machine operating experience preferred, but not required. Comprehensive job training will be provided to the right candidate
Mechanical skills and computer knowledge essential
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to effectively present information and direction to other mail staff
Expected compensation for this role is between $18 and $20/hour based on qualifications and experience.
