Position Summary:
You will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks in residential apartment communities. This role ensures the property is well-maintained, functional, and provides a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems
- Prepare apartments for new residents by completing unit turns, including painting, drywall repair, fixture installation, and general maintenance
- Assist with emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours on-call rotation as needed
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- A proactive and energetic approach to work
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, work in various weather conditions, and climb ladders or stairs
