This position will report into the VP of Design & Merchandising and work closely with the entire Creative, Product Development and Tech teams. This is a key design roll that will collaborate daily working alongside the Senior Designer and the Assistant Designer.

Job responsibilities are, but not limited to:

·        Develop and present seasonal swim assortments.

·        Collaborate on color palette, prints, and trend stories.

·        Work closely with team to source and develop new fabrics and treatments.

·        Work closely with team to source and develop new trims and embellishment techniques.

·        Manage seasonal calendars and take ownership of all deadlines related to your categories.

·        Design and develop silhouettes from initial concept to final execution.

·        Illustrate design intent in cad formation (i.e. Silhouettes, trim and embellishment, textures, crochet patterns, etc.) 

·        Developed detailed tech packs for each design, maintain all updates and see through to final sample.

·        Design and develop new silhouettes that are focused on trend, brand DNA and salability.

·        Communicate design intent and all steps of development process to Production team and Fit Technicians.

·        Attend weekly fittings and be able to articulate fit intent to team.

·        Responsible for written and verbal, timely communication with Production and Tech teams.

·        Work closely with design team to source new and innovative, swim-appropriate fabrications and trims.

·        Manage workflow in all areas of development process.

·        Work closely with 3D artist to oversee and develop 3D cads that are accurate and illustrate design intent.

·        Participate in high level 3D development and planning.

·        Present new designs during internal design reviews alongside team.

·        Work closely with team to support in creating mood boards and trends per delivery.

·        Collaborate with team on story telling of themes for each delivery (i.e. assorting delivery with prints, fabrications and colors).

·        Work closely with Textile Designers on print development.

·        Maintain up to date market and trend knowledge specific to swim industry by shopping in stores & online.

·        Research and create shopping reports on current trend with focus on brand aesthetic.

·        Responsible for creating compelling presentations (i.e. cad presentations, 3D, samples, PPT deck)

·        Work closely with team to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
