Education Specialist  Credentialed Field Supervisors Ideal  workload per trimester: 2  Informal collaborations - (Meeting options include in-person, phone, or remote) 2  Formal Observations- (In person) 2  Video Observations- (Remote) (Review and grade lesson plans and final intern reflection submissions) Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Masters’ degree in Education or related field from a regionally accredited university. • A clear California teaching credential – Special Education OR a California Administrative Services credential. • Exemplary record of teaching. • Successful experience coaching/mentoring beginning teachers. • Experience utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and funds of community cultural wealth. • Experience utilizing alternative forms of assessment with K-12 grade-levels and ability to guide district interns in the development and use of standards-based assessments. • Ability to provide resources for addressing the needs of English Learners and Students with Special Needs. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team. Degree Verification Requirement: The desired candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for degree verification. Working Conditions: Physical Abilities • Hearing and speaking to conduct group training, exchange information in person electronically and over the telephone • Ability to read printed material and computer screens. Ability to understand speech at normal levels • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment • Kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies. • Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach, walk, sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds. • Accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
