Overnight Stocker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Stocker to join our retail team. This role involves maintaining organized and fully stocked store shelves during overnight hours to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in inventory management, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment. Multilingual abilities and excellent communication skills are a plus, helping to serve a diverse customer base effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and organize merchandise efficiently throughout the store during overnight shifts
• Manage inventory control using RF scanners and maintain accurate stock levels
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools safely and effectively
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of produce, packaged goods, and other inventory items
• Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and organizing stock for easy access
• Perform merchandising duties to ensure products are presented attractively and according to planograms
• Maintain cleanliness of the stockroom and sales floor, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Support retail sales by replenishing stock, assisting with product placement, and providing excellent customer service when needed
• Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth store operations during overnight hours

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience or retail stocking background preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners is advantageous
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification preferred but not required
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse team members and customers
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and merchandising tasks
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and providing customer service when necessary
• Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving stocking, shipping & receiving, or merchandising is beneficial

This position is vital for maintaining store readiness overnight, ensuring shelves are stocked accurately, cleanly, and efficiently for the upcoming business day.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
