Duties
- Safely load, unload, pack, and unpack household or commercial items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring items are moved efficiently without damage or injury
- Prepare moving supplies and packing materials to secure belongings during transit
- Ensure all items are properly labeled, organized, and loaded onto trucks in accordance with route plans
- Drive box trucks or
driver vehicles with manual transmission for local or route deliveries - Load and unload trucks at various locations, adhering to safety protocols and time schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during packing and moving operations, including securing items for transport
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse work, moving services, or delivery driving preferred but not required—training will be provided!
- Demonstrated ability in customer service to communicate effectively with clients during moves
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or
driver vehicles with manual transmission - Familiarity with warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Previous courier or route driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift, bend, and walk for extended periods
