Job Summary
We are looking for a Lead Field Technician to oversee on-site deployments and lead small crews in the installation of FORTS units for events and emergency response operations. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused; you will be responsible for coordinating projects, ensuring quality, and serving as the main point of contact on-site.
The ideal candidate has experience leading teams in fast-paced environments, is comfortable interacting directly with clients, and can problem-solve under pressure. This is not just an installation role, you will be expected to take ownership of each deployment from arrival through completion.
Duties
- Lead on-site deployment and breakdown of FORTS units at events and emergency response operations
- Supervise and coordinate a small team of technicians to ensure efficient, timely builds
- Manage job site workflow, prioritize tasks, and adjust in real time to keep projects on schedule
- Troubleshoot issues during setup and take ownership of resolving problems quickly
- Ensure all units are assembled to company standards and meet quality expectations
- Assist with warehouse operations, including prepping units, inspections, and general upkeep
- Communicate clearly with internal team members and leadership before, during, and after deployments
- Travel to job sites as needed and adapt to varying environments and schedules
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)
- Experience working in hands-on, field-based environments
- Ability to lead or take direction within a team in fast-paced settings
- Comfortable working on job sites and adapting to changing conditions
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Previous experience leading a crew or supervising a team
- Forklift experience or certification
- Experience towing trailers or equipment
- Background in construction, event production, or field installations
- Experience working directly with customers or clients on-site
