Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineer to Fortress Power. This individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the product lifecycyle from the design phase to the after sale support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the energy storage industry and be capable of managing complex projects while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage product lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, design review, validation testing, and field support.
· Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to ensure smooth product introduction and continuous improvement.
· Support the design and validation of Residential and C&I energy storage systems, including batteries, inverters, BMS, EMS, and related components.
· Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for quality and reliability improvements.
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
· Serve as a technical liaison with customers, partners, and vendors to resolve issues and ensure product satisfaction.
· Monitor industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements (UL, IEEE, NEC, etc.) to ensure compliance and competitive positioning.
· Provide technical training and support to internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Must be fluent in Chinese or Mandarin.
· 3–7 years of experience in product engineering, system integration, quality engineering, or related roles, preferably in energy storage, renewable energy, mass production, or power electronics industries.
· Strong understanding of lithium battery technology, inverters, BMS, and EMS.
· Experience with product validation, certification processes, and compliance standards (UL, IEC, IEEE).
· Strong experience with quality management systems and process development.
· Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and deliver on timelines.
· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
· Hands-on approach with ability to work in both office and field/lab environments.
· Ability to travel to customer sites as needed (25% travel).
