About The Position
The Senior Analyst will be a member of the Real Estate Equity team at Fortress and will support the team through all stages of the deal life cycle, including acquisitions analytics, closing support, and post-closing asset management. The Real Estate Equity platform focuses on opportunistic, value-add, and core transactions across property types in public and private markets globally. This position will report to a Director in Menlo Park. The individual hired for this position will have exposure to a wide range of property types (with an emphasis on housing), positions with the capital stack, partnership structures, and U.S. markets. This position is expected to be a two to three-year program with future growth opportunities for high performers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze new investment opportunities and present recommendations
- Create and maintain cash flow models
- Create transaction analysis, summaries, and investment memoranda for recommendations to Investment Committees
- Assist in investment due diligence
- Assist in coordinating transaction closing procedures
- Work with external partners and internal team members to make operational and capital expense decisions in support of ongoing asset management activities
- Prepare internal analyses and presentations regarding investment performance
- Maintain dialogue with brokers, consultants, and vendors
- Conduct market research and track industry trends
- Assist with asset management on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Finance or Commercial Real Estate (or other relevant degree, e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Accounting)
- 2 – 5 years of experience in Real Estate, preferably within investment banking and/or real estate private equity
- Strong understanding of real estate investment concepts and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication
- Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment
- Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Unquestionable integrity and ethics
- Success developing and sustaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel); proficiency in Argus is preferred but not required
- Experience in multifamily real estate is preferred but not required
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $120,000 and $130,000
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
