Fortress Infrastructure, LLC is a growing design/build business based in Boulder, CO. We specialize in the design and construction of secure, mission-critical infrastructure for the Department of War. We deliver resilient, compliant facilities—from SCIFs to hardened structures—built to support national security at every level. With deep expertise and a commitment to operational integrity, we are a trusted partner in protecting the infrastructure behind the United States of America’s defense.
In addition to the defense work, we also design and construct tenant improvements locally. We work to support our community and surrounding areas through robust infrastructure upgrades.
Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boulder, CO. This will be primarily a home office position. We will also meet in person and collaborate (especially at the start). There will also be some international travel.
Responsibilities:
- Design multi-disciplinary tenant improvements for secure facilities.
- Support project code compliance (IBC)
- >50% daily design / drafting
- Perform load calculation and system sizing
- Support submittal preparation (on our part) and submittal review of other contractors
- Perform site surveys internationally
- Expect 10 - 15% International travel (Japan, Korea, Pacific Islands, Europe)
- Support estimating and proposal writing
- Support list-of-material (LoM) creating and material management
- Supervision and training provided for all of the above.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- BSCE w/ code / architectural classes would also be considered
- EIT Passed (Engineer-in-training)
- 0 to 3 years experience
- AutoCAD Proficiency
- Ability to qualify and willingness to obtain secret security clearance
Preferred Qualification:
- Colorado front-range home office location

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
- Home office primarily
- Will meet in-person and collaborate (especially at start)
